Prospective graduate students in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) fields are invited to attend the STEM Preview Day at the University of California, Davis to learn more about our graduate programs and graduate student services. Preview Day consists of faculty and current graduate student panels discussing tips for matching graduate programs to student interests, preparing personal statements, the application process, and an overview of graduate student life at UC Davis. Additionally, group lab tours and individual faculty meetings will provide you with an inside view of research opportunities at Davis. Students from historically underrepresented backgrounds are encouraged to participate. Our program offers two Preview Days held in November for in-state and out-of-state participants.
Students can apply for travel funding for these events. Priority will be given to college seniors and master’s students who are considering graduate study at UC Davis. The program also serves students applying to a doctoral program in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math fields for fall 2010 or fall 2011. Participants in programs such as AGEP, MBRS/MARC, UC LEADS, Bridges to Doctorate, McNair, Project 1000, LSAMP/CAMP or RISE scholars are encouraged to participate.
