The year-long AGEP (Alliance for Graduate Education and the Professoriate) Advantage Program offers professional development opportunities for underrepresented students considering academic teaching careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.

AGEP Advantage students participate in professional development seminars and workshops covering strategies for successfully completing doctoral degrees and building professional skills for post-graduate careers. Travel funds are also available to Advantage students to attend professional development meetings and research conferences.

The UC Davis AGEP Advantage program benefits for continuing graduate students include:

• Monthly professional development workshops
• Travel to local and national professional development meetings
• Mentoring to directly assist students with academic, career, social, or personal concerns and challenges
• Resources providing postdoctoral and job opportunity information
