The Graduate Group in Education, which is hosted by the School of Education, offers a Ph.D. with five areas of emphasis: Language, Literacy and Culture; Mathematics Education; Science Education; Educational Psychology; and School Organization & Educational Policy. The Graduate Group is composed of faculty from education, mathematics, sciences, social sciences, and humanities units throughout the UC Davis campus. The program provides a course of study examining research and theory about learners, teachers, schools, and related social institutions. Through coursework, apprenticeships and mentoring, Ph.D. students are prepared to conduct research and teach about the education of children, youth, and adults in a multicultural and multilingual society.
This program is an interdisciplinary Graduate Group.
