The School of Education offers programs to prepare elementary and secondary teachers. The programs are designed to immerse students in the total environment of the classroom, provide a theoretical-practical approach to the teaching-learning process, and encourage close interaction between faculty and students. The elementary education program prepares students in all subjects commonly taught in an elementary classroom, and offers optional preparation for bilingual (Spanish) or English as a Second Language classrooms. The secondary education program prepares teachers for the grades 7-12 classroom in the following areas: English, physical and life sciences, math and social sciences. All programs are combined M.A. in Education/Credential programs.
