THIS PROGRAM HAS CONSOLIDATED WITH THE BIOCHEMISTRY and MOLECULAR BIOLOGY GRADUATE GROUP. STUDENTS CAN APPLY TO EITHER PROGRAM FOR ADMISSION.
The Cell and Developmental Biology Graduate Group includes faculty with research interests in reproductive biology and fertilization, cell motility, the cytoskeleton, intracellular transport, cytokinesis, teratogenesis, morphogenesis, the development of sensory systems, cell polarity, membrane biology and biophysics, differentiation, cellular responses to stress, metastasis, pattern formation, cell-extracellular matrix interaction, tissue engineering, signal transduction, mitochondrial DNA, DNA repair, cell adhesion, and cellular responses to growth factors. Diverse experimental systems include cell lines, the neural crest, tumor cells, yeast, vertebrates, Drosophila, C. elegans and marine invertebrates.
