Information for Graduating Students

ELIGIBILITY

All those who received graduate degrees in September 2007 and December 2007, as well as candidates for degrees in March 2008 and June 2008, are eligible to participate.

Candidates who expect to complete their degree requirements after June 2008, but by September 30, 2008, may participate in the June ceremonies, upon registration and confirmation by their Major Professor or Graduate Adviser. Please download the release form for signature by your Major Professor. PLEASE NOTE: THIS FORM DOES NOT CONSTITUTE REGISTRATION FOR COMMENCEMENT. YOU MUST STILL REGISTER ONLINE. These students may also wait until June 2009 to participate in Commencement.

Unsure about what the difference is between Graduation, Conferral, and Advancement to Candidacy for master's and Ph.D. students? Please contact your Graduate Staff representative.

NOTE: If you plan to participate, please register online by April 18, 2008. Registration after that date will result in your name being omitted from the Commencement program. However, you must still register in order to participate.

DAY-OF GENERAL INFORMATION FOR GRADUATES

Be sure to review the General Information packet thoroughly so that you can prepare for the day of commencement.

Here is an interior diagram of the Pavilion, so you get a feel for the layout. This will also be handy for your guests in planning their seating arrangements.
