Important Travel Update
I-5 CLOSURE – PLAN YOUR TRAVEL ACCORDINGLY
The Sacramento area will be affected by a planned I-5 section closure, occurring the same time as the commencement ceremony event. If you were planning on traveling using this section of highway, you will need to find alternative travel routes. In addition, all other routes are expected to be impacted by the I-5 closure. Plan your travel accordingly. Please visit the Fix I-5 Project Web site for current information, alternate routes, maps, and more.
Maps and Directions to UC Davis Commencement
DRIVING DIRECTIONS
From the San Francisco Bay Area:
- Take Interstate 80 East towards Sacramento.
- Merge onto Highway 113 towards Woodland.
- Exit at Hutchison Drive, stay west.
- Turn left at LaRue Road.
- Turn right into the parking entrance to the ARC, located at the corner of LaRue Road and Orchard Road (or choose another parking location).
From Sacramento:
- Take Interstate 80 West towards San Francisco.
- Merge onto Highway 113 towards Woodland.
- Exit at Hutchison Drive, stay west.
- Turn left at LaRue Road.
- Turn right into the parking entrance to the ARC, located at the corner of LaRue Road and Orchard Road (or choose another parking location).
From Woodland:
- Take Highway 113 South.
- Merge onto Highway 113 towards Woodland.
- Exit at Hutchison Drive, stay west.
- Turn left at LaRue Road.
- Turn right into the parking entrance to the ARC, located at the corner of LaRue Road and Orchard Road (or choose another parking location).
From Los Angeles:
- Take Interstate 5 North towards Sacramento and follow the signs to Interstate 80 West towards San Francisco.
- Merge onto Highway 113 towards Woodland.
- Exit at Hutchison Drive, stay west.
- Turn left at LaRue Road.
- Turn right into the parking entrance to the ARC, located at the corner of LaRue Road and Orchard Road (or choose another parking location).
PARKING TIPS
The streets and parking structures surrounding the campus can be quite congested during Commencement. There are three convenient parking areas near the event location:
- West Entry Parking Structure- Corner of Dairy/Anderson and Hutchison (behind the ARC). (Be aware: the higher the level, the longer it will take you to exit.)
- VP 25 Parking Lot – Off LaRue Road, pull into the ARC entrance, adjacent to the ARC.
- VP 35 Parking Lot – Corner of Orchard Road and LaRue Road, across the street from the ARC.
