Graduate Student Assistant to the Dean and Chancellor

The Graduate Student Assistant to the Dean of Graduate Studies and to the Chancellor (GSADC) serves as a liaison between graduate students and the administration at UC Davis. In addition to regular meetings with the Dean of Graduate Studies, the Chancellor, Graduate Council, and other campus administrators, the GSADC is available to meet with graduate students, both formally (through the GSA and other graduate student groups and organizations) and informally in order to represent graduate student concerns and perspectives as accurately as possible.

Abigail Boggs,
Graduate Student Assistant to the Dean and Chancellor 2009–10

I am a fifth-year Ph.D. candidate in the Cultural Studies graduate program working on a dissertation on the recruitment and education of international students at U.S. institutions of higher education. As the Graduate Student Assistant to the Dean and to the Chancellor, I look forward to developing a project that utilizes my research on the impact of the internationalization of U.S. higher education to positively impact the lives and academic experiences of all UC Davis graduate students.

I am pleased to serve as the Graduate Student Assistant to the Dean and to the Chancellor. In this position, I work as a liaison between graduate students and the administration. I represent graduate students in various committees; assist graduate students in finding services, staff, and resources appropriate to their concerns; and I help them negotiate problems and grievances with their departments, faculty, or staff. Please contact me at (530) 752-4090 or via e-mail if you have any questions or concerns.
